Celebrate Family BBQ 2011

The "Celebrate Family BBQ" is one month away! You are all invited and if you know of any family that won't see this, make sure they know they are invited too! The BBQ will be at our house in Gig Harbor on June 25th at 2 pm. If anyone wants to stay over you are more than welcome. Spring is here for the Kansas Halls! :P

Hey everyone, this is Wade! The Kansas Halls have kinda lost touch of the Blog but we'll start posting again, keeping everyone up to date! :) I hope we go to the 2nd annual "Celebrate Family" BBQ at Aunt Tracy's since we didn't make it last year :(( I'll try to talk mom & dad into it. Well I just wanted say hey and that we miss EVERYONE!! & thought I'd post a few pictures from this weekend out at the lake, I just got a Kayak and it was my first time taking it out! :))It was so much fun! :)
My friend Brittany tried it out, she thought she was gonna tip, she was freaking out the whole time hahah. But she liked it too, she's gonna buy one and we're gonna kayak down the Kansas River this summer!
The kayak is only a one seater. So naturally my cousin, Dexter and I had to both go out in it.. not the best idea.. haha
It's really relaxing!! :))

My Happy Boy

This morning I got up and went to get Kaden out of his crib and there he was in all his glory . . . covered from head to toe in dried vomit with a big smile on his face. I don't have Dad's gag reflex, but it's close. I spent 2 hours scrubbing stuffed animals with an old toothbrush, washing laundry/carpet etc. and was able to fight off the gagging fits. It was more vomit than I have ever seen in one place, okay some of you are starting to gag :>) so I'll stop. My Kaden is such a happy boy. We were reading books about feelings a little while ago and he says "Kaden happy" even when he's sick. Anyway, I feel so lucky to have such a happy boy!

Yay Kaden!

We just got back from Kaden's 2 year well child Doctor visit. He is growing - yay! I think all that egg nog over the holidays really helped. The nurse asked Kaden how old he was. Two, he proudly replied. The nurse asked him if he had a cake for his birthday - oh yeah. Did he get presents - oh yeah. What was his favorite thing to play with? A pause and then . . . Papa.
