The top picture is of Scot & I by the mile long tunnel in Zion's Park. That was AWESOME going through on bikes! The 2nd picture is of all of us in St George (where by the way, someone broke into the bikes and stole all of the leathers. Luckily, all we lost was Scot's chaps, but everyone else lost everything ; coats, chaps, gloves. The bikes were even locked up, but whoever it was was really good and got into them with out breaking anything, and then put them all back together, so it wasn't even noticeable.) The bottom picture is just outside Kanab, Utah. It was so much fun!

Scot & I went on a bike trip a few weeks ago with my parents, and my brother and his wife. We went down to Las Vegas, Laughlin (Nevada), on old Route 66 (that was really awesome!), Oatman (Arizona), Hoover Dam, St. George (Utah), Zion's National Park, Kanab (Utah), and a bunch of other places in between! We were gone for a week and had a blast! The scenery was beautiful, and we had a great vacation!

Hey, who just turned 42? Happy bithday brother.

It's always fun when Grandma comes, when Grandma comes!

We loved having Mom/Grandma here for the week! She is absolutely wonderful. I am truly amazed by the scale in which her energy level exceeds mine. There were walks, yoga, sleep-overs (or sleepless-overs), stories, date nights, museum fun, and a whole lot of time spent in the car driving back and forth from preschool, kindergarten, karate, soccer, baseball, and ballet/gymnastics. Thanks mom for once again helping me hang in through busy season.

Sping is hear!

Pull the bikes out and 'Riiide'. Sping is hear, we took are first road trip with brother Dave and Kathy. It was a little windy but we had fun. Kansas had a long winter this year so this was a fun way to celibrate its passing.

Brandon arrived at the mission home in Tampico, Mexico on Wednesday. Thursday he took the bus with his companion Elder Cano to Tuxpan,Veracruz. He says it's very hot and humid there.

BOYS WILL BE BOYS

Even in a spiritual environment, boys will be boys, they just can't help themselves ! Even missionaries need to have alittle fun, at least on p-day. It did however, come as news to me with the discovery of a cd of pictures Brandon had taken at the MTC. In the past 8 weeks that Brandon has been at the MTC we have received emails and letters and even saw him briefly last week. We heard about the language challenges, the studying, the spiritual experiences and even about the day to day routine, however it seems that my boy forgot to mention that he was having a little more fun than he let on. I always knew he had a silly side ! Gotta love that smile

We just got a phone call (a very short call )from Brandon telling us that he is leaving for Mexico tomorrow morning ! He is excited to go, he will be travelling with 3 other missionaries from his district, all are ready to go to "work ".
