Tonight Dad (Grandpa) celebrated his 65th birthday at home. Mom (Grandma), our family and Jamie's family joined them for a spaghetti dinner and birthday cake. Blaine made a delicious home-made spaghetti sauce (for all you people using sauce from a jar, your missing out on the finer things in life), and then Mom made a humongous cherry chip cake (which of course is Dads' favorite). Dad blew out all his candles in a single breath, no fainting involved !

Happy Birthday Dad! Your cake sure does look delicious (and pretty). As for you Mel, I would love to not be missing out on delicious spagetti sauce. Especially since jarred sauce isn't sold in grocery stores here. You should post the recipe so we can join in on the goodness.
